Final Fantasy XII

After a delay of almost three years, "Final Fantasy 12," the latest in an enormously successful series of video games, finally hit stores across Japan on Thursday morning.

Square Enix Co., producers of the series of role-playing games that has already sold more than 65 million copies around the world, has shipped 2 million units of "Final Fantasy 12" for Sony Play Station 2 (PS2).

"This is a pretty meaty game," Square Enix President Yoichi Wada said at a special event to mark the launch in Tokyo's Shibuya-ku. "I think this will become a work that symbolizes PS2.(Mainichi)"

Purchased some FFXII potion at a supermarket, basically water in a blue bottle. There are 6 different bottle caps and 27 premium cards in the set. Of course each box only offers one cap and one card. Each box is completely sealed, making it difficult to complete the set. One collector bought the entire display of the premium box bottles. I was all caught up in the rush and had to get one.

Only to find out there were plenty available at a local convenient store down the street.

Collecting these are as futile as collecting Pokemon cards.
