Zoni

Attended another food seminar. Learned how to make zoni. Its a traditional food usually ate on New Year's Day. Zoni consist of baked mochi, soy sauce/bonito soup based, some chicken and vegetables. In Eastern Japan rectangular pieces of mochi are used and circular pieces are used in Western Japan. The teacher was from Western Japan and opted to use rectangular pieces, which didn't go over well with the students, all being from Western Japan.
